Did you catch Craft Night With Kimberbell on December 11, 2025? Kim and Cassie were each given a specific challenge: to reimagine the Let it Snow Pillow (Cassie) and the Otterly Cozy Rice Warmer (Kim).

Once again, they hit it right out of the park!

Cassie's Project: Let it Snow Pillow

Original

Before we look at how Cassie reimagined her project, let's first look at the pillow in its original form. (I think we can all agree that it's very pretty as it is . . .)

Reimagined

And here's Cassie's NEW pillow! She changed the colors and replaced a few of the blocks. (To see how, watch the video and go to the 4:55 mark!)

Original

The Otterly Cozy Rice Warmer Project Kit includes the design files and fabrics you need to create a darling otter cover and a rice bag insert to slip inside.

Now, the original project is absolutely wonderful as is. But I think it's safe to say that Kim had a really fun time making THREE new cuddly critters!

  • Polar Bear Digital Files (from the Feeling Festive Bella Box) HERE
  • Bow Applique HERE
  • Heart Applique HERE
  • Light Mesh Cut-Away HERE

Bridger's Otter

Let's take a look at how Kim changed the otter as a gift for her nephew, Bridger. (To see how, please watch the video and go to the 17:17 mark.)

Kim's Pro Tips (Otterly Cozy + Heart Applique)

First, Kim used the Heart Applique 1 design (available HERE), decreased the size, and replaced "Love you forever" with "Bridger." (See her tips & notes on the image below!)

Purple Otter

But the fun didn't stop there. Kim also decided to make a version with purples, pinks, and a beautiful bow! (To see how, please watch the video and go to the 26:13 mark.)

Kim's Pro Tips (Purple Otter + Bow Applique)

For this one, Kim used the Bow Applique (available HERE) to replace the kerchief. She also made this a stuffed animal, not a warmer. (See her tips & notes on the image below!)

For her final project, Kim decided to use the Polar Bear design from the Feeling Festive Bella Box from 2024. (The box is sold out but the digital files are available for purchase!)

Original Polar Bear

Like the Otterly Cozy project shown above, the Polar Bear is also a rice warmer and is absolutely darling as is. (Note: The file comes in two different sizes!)

Reimagined Boo-Boo Bear

For this one, Kim wrote and added a cute little poem to stitch on the bear. (To see more, please watch the  video and go to the 32:35 mark.)

Kim's Poem

And here's a close-up shot of Kim's darling poem! She paired her Boo-Boo Bear with the Hush Little Polar Bear board book (linked above). What could be a better gift?
