Home Sewn, Vol. 1: Tiling Scenes

Hooray! It's here! Home Sewn, Vol. 1 releases TODAY!

Here's how it works: You'll stitch six panels on your embroidery machine, then sew them together to create stunning tiled scenes for April, May, and June.

Each scene is thoughtfully digitized with no bulk in the seams and includes a beautiful blend of applique, quilting, and decorative stitching to lighten the density.

There will be four volumes in all, so you'll have a different scene for each month of the year! (Volume 2 is coming in May with designs for July, August, and September.)

And on it goes with so much to look forward to. Let's take a look at the first three months!

April

April features an applique house in the sweet spring rain. Stitch flowers, rain boots, a little goose on the verdant lawn, and a vintage sewing machine in the window!

With an applique umbrella, Spring Showers mini quilt, and built-in background quilting, this Home Sewn tiling scene is fresh and fun for everyone!

May

May's scene is buzzing with life! Birds, blossoms, and bees dance in the breeze, while soft blue clouds dot the clear spring skies. Stitch a budding tree, “tweet” birdhouse, and more!

With tufts of grass, built-in background quilting, and a Life is Better in Full Bloom mini quilt, this tiling scene is a sweet tribute to May. 

June

June features a retro camper beneath a starry night sky. Lights hang from the trees and a soft stream flows by the fire! Stitch the decorative tree trunk, crescent moon, and vintage machine. 

With built-in background quilting and a mini quilt made from our Camper and Tree designs, this tiling scene is a reminder that sewing is for ALL locations! 

Mini Quilt Panels

Now, I think the most charming parts of our Home Sewn scenes are the darling little nods to past Kimberbell projects.

For example, in the April scene there's a tiny Spring Showers quilt, shown below:

May's scene has a tiny Life is Better in Full Bloom panel, while June's scene has a nine patch made with our Tree and Camper Machine Embroider by Number projects. 😍
